Feeling Spooked?
There are those that enjoy nature walks in the mountains, and there are those that enjoy long walks in the dark. If you’re looking for a bit of adventure, maybe a spooky trail tour is for you! Ghost Walk of Gatlinburg tells you about the history of Gatlinburg but also some scary stories that still linger in the town. Fun thing about Ghost Walk of Gatlinburg, each tour member gets an EMF (ghost detector), who knows what spooky stuff you’ll see! Looking for more ghost adventures? The Ghost and Haunt Tours of Gatlinburg have an Extended Investigative Tour. On this tour you will visit locations, hear stories, and use equipment to hunt ghosts!
Follow the Trails in the Mountains
Being in the heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, you’ll have no excuse to not run out and hit the trails. Although all the trails have great scenery, they each vary in distance and areas of exploration. In Gatlinburg, the classic trail to visit is the Gatlinburg Trail. Here you’ll see streams and a waterfall, with the distance only being about a mile long. As well as Laurel Fall Trail, about 2.5 miles, where you’ll also see a beautiful waterfall. This trail is perfect for hiking, walking, and all around a fun nature trip. For those that really enjoy being outside and don’t mind the distance, here are a few longer trails to choose from. There is the Spruce Flat Falls Trail via Lumber Ridge Rd, which is a 7-mile-long trail. Want more of a challenge? The Sugarland Mountain Trail is about 11.7 miles long, but the views are definitely worth all the hiking! And after your hike, be sure to visit some of the wineries in Gatlinburg! Sugarland Cellars winery has free parking and Little Bear Winery has some of the best locally-produced sweet wines around!
Just Touring Around
Sightseeing is a must do activity in any city you visit! To help you explore, Cades Cove offers a sightseeing bus tour throughout the Great Smoky Mountains.  They give you insight on the heritage and history of the cove all while enjoying the beautiful scenery.
