2022 Smoky Mountain Fire Update

On March 30th, 2022, devastating wildfires affected Sevier County. The Wears Valley wildfire lasted until April 7th and burned a total of 2,498 acres and destroyed 219 structures. Thankfully, there were no reported deaths and only minor injuries in relation to the fires. All areas that were under the evacuation order are now open again and are accessible to the public.

Although this has been a heartbreaking time for the area, the community immediately jumped into action and now the people who were affected by these fires are seeing a swift recovery – in fact, the Mountain Tough organization has stated that they have reached the limit on physical donations. Monetary donations are still gratefully accepted, and if you would like to donate to help the community that was affected, you can donate directly by going to https://www.mountaintough.org/give/.

The parkway in Pigeon Forge and all Rocky Top Wineries were unaffected and are still open and welcoming all visitors. We want to thank everyone for their donations and their willingness to help our community once more.
